Texas Roadhouse Placer
in Placer County, Ca near the historic mining town of Alta.
This fabulous 20 acre placer claim contains approx. 800 feet of the East Fork of the North Fork American River frontage and another year round creek runs through the claim for approx. 600 feet
. Massive amounts of exposed bedrock runs throughout the claim making small waterfalls and excellent gold traps in potholes and crevices running against the water flow as seen in my pictures. Numerous quartz stringers run everywhere in bedrock along the river. Also on the claim are some nice gravel bars and benches on bedrock. Gold in this area is excellent with coarse nuggets and river worn pickers. Two beautiful creek side camp areas are located on the claim at the end of the road. One has a real nice rock fire pit in a nice meadow like area. These camp area are plenty large enough for good size RV's and travel trailers. The road will need a little tree branch cutting and some shovel work to get larger trailers in. The Texas Roadhouse placer is extremely secluded, you will probably never see anyone down at the claim. The access road is decent, has some water bars in it that will require a higher clearance 4X4 vehicle. Driving Directions
From Auburn CA continue on Highway 80 east towards Reno for 38 miles. Get off at the Emigrant Gap exit and stay right off exit onto Emigrant Gap Road. Continue on Emigrant Gap Road which turns into Texas Hill Road by Fulda Creek for 10 miles. Stay left at the first fork onto Forest Route 19 which you'll see some old gate posts with no gate.
